Overwatch’s Game Director Jeff Kaplan, was asked by Game Informer which Nintendo would be a good fit were they to join the heroes in Overwatch or the upcoming Overwatch 2, and Kaplan noted that the Hero of Time would be his choice.
“Nothing would make me happier than putting Link into our game.”
This was in the context of a rapid-fire barrage of questions and shouldn’t be taken as any sort of confirmation or intention of a crossover. That said, Link would fit in with the other heroes since he does posses various weapons like his bows, hookshots and various other projectiles, in addition to his sword and shield.
