Marble it Up is a marble rolling game but one that takes on a slightly different form. In most marble rolling games players will move the ball by tilting the screen. This game, however, is easier to play as the player actually controls the marble. This allows for a far cleaner gameplay style as players won’t constantly risk losing their ball due to a slip of the hand.
This game also offers a basic tutorial world where players will get a handle on their marble. Players will learn how to play the game and come in contact with some other things that might make trouble for them later on. It’s great for a game to have a tutorial as it puts everyone who is playing it on the same field.
Marble it Up offers a lot of levels for the player to take on. Players will need to maneuver through different levels guiding their marble all over. There are ramps and other things to jump off. This game is constantly changing things up and offering new little things to change how levels play. Each one is never boring because the layouts are so varied.
Marble it Up might just be a classic marble based game but it is a lot more fun than it should be. By actually controlling the marble, players have a lot more control of it. I personally detest having a tilt to play mechanic as it drives me insane losing so many times in a row. Marble it Up is certainly worth playing and anyone who’s ever wanted to play as a marble in a game.
Marble it up has five different worlds for the marble to roll through. These worlds might all have similar vibes but the levels themselves are always unique. Players will need to complete certain amounts of levels in each world to move on to the next one. There are fifty levels for the player to undertake each a little more challenging than the last.
This game will actually challenge the player by changing things up. Players will be able to use powerups which can either slow time or speed them up. There is also a power-up that lets players glide. These powers might take a little getting used to as the dash ability launches the player quite far and that can be dangerous.
Players will be able to customize their marble with different patterns as well. Finding these might just be secondary but it is nice to be rewarded for playing a game. Collecting all of the marbles might be a challenge but they all look so good in the game. It’s hard not to want to collect them.
This game is also perfect for those who like to speedrun. Every level awards players a trophy depending on their score and speed. It’s great to jump back into levels to try and outspeed the previous score. Players can also watch their replays or even race themselves. It’s a great way to add more game time to a rather fun game.
The music is also charming in its own way, and also helps the player feel at peace. There is something about playing this game that makes me feel at ease. It must be because ultimately the only thing that stands in my way is the end of the level, no enemies want me dead, and I only have to speed run if I want. Sometimes in this day and age, a game like this is more than welcome.
Marble it up is a simple marble based game that is way more fun than it ought to be. The levels are well thought out and playing as the marble is actually quite peaceful. There is only the player, the marble, and a certain serenity and that in and of itself makes this game worth playing. Will the player dare take up the role of a marble, and complete all the challenges?
