Another title has been brought to the west by fans, this time a 1996 Square title originally released on the Satellaview service. The game in question is Treasure Conflix, a Mode 7 aerial combat adventure with RPG elements. The game lets players converse with various NPCs in order to find the location of valuable items and then obtain them.

Of course, this isn’t a simple matter as others want those treasures as well, and dogfights against sky pirates and others will occur above blurry pixel maps in what may remind you of classic arcade games. Once the battle ends, however, the characters go to a base or other safe place, and the game changes to Suikoden-style pixel characters in a more traditional RPG format. Here,  characters will conduct business in hangars, marketplaces and shady locales to upgrade your ship and get back in the sky for more battles.

Due to the fact that the Satellaview service was only released in Japan, Treasure Conflix was never released in the west.  As such, this once-thought lost to the west game getting translated is a very big deal indeed.

You can find the translation patch here.
