Today Smash Bros. creator Mashiro Sakurai posted a new screenshot of the highly anticipated Super Smash Bro. For Wii U and Nintendo 3DS which showcases and new spin on an already established character. A Male Version of the Wii Fit Trainer appears alongside his female counterpart in this shot which was accompanied with the text-
“Pic of the day. The trial version of Wii Fit U is available now! We’d like to share this pic to commemorate the occasion.”
Whether this is another character all together or a skin of the Wii Fit Trainer has yet to be confirmed, HMK is inclined to think the latter as there is no “Newcomer” section for this Male Wii Fit Trainer on the official site and this would be the first time Smash had a separate skin for a character.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wario had two attire choices and it seems that the Wii Fit Trainer will follow suit. This may be the case with other characters and may open the floodgates for new possibilities for the upcoming Smash!
Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and Nintendo 3DS is slated to release sometime in 2014.
