There has been some speculation about the upcoming Mega Man X legacy Collection regarding X3. There were several different versions released, and many have been wondering which version would be used.
The speculation is over now, as Capcom has confirmed that it will be the SNES version of Mega Man X3.
The game also showed up on the PlayStation, SEGA Saturn, and Windows among others, while the SNES edition became rather rare.
