Mega Man X has finally been released on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console via the wii Shop Channel
The release was detail in a press release from Nintendo and the details are as follows,

Description: The future of Mega Man has arrived. Hundreds of years after his death, Dr. Light’s final creation is discovered. But when Dr. Cain tries to implement Dr. Light’s designs into a new series of Reploids, something goes horribly wrong. Now this release is not long after the Cancellation of Mega Man Generations, God only knows what Capcom has in store for the blue bomber, I guess we will see in the near future.
