It seems that Metroid Dread is off to a strong start in the UK, as reports are coming in that it is the biggest launch ever for the series in the region, surpassing Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on Wii previously held that milestone. This does not take into account the digital download sales of the game.
It must be noted, however, that while Metroid Dread is indeed doing well, several other Switch titles have outperformed it this year such as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Monster Hunter Rise, and New Pokemon Snap.
