The Nintendo Switch has been getting many classic games and a surprising one is coming soon. Nami Tentou will be bringing the classic game Montezuma’s Revenge to the system. The game was first released in 1984 and saw a release on the Atari 8-bit , Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Apple II, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, IBM PC and ZX Spectrum ( the Spectrum version released under the name Panama Joe), and in 1988 for the Sega Master System and was designed and programmed by Robert Jaeger.

Explore the chambers of the mysterious Aztec pyramid in Montezuma’s Revenge! Climb the stairs and ropes, collect keys to open doors! Collect the jewels & swords, and the coveted torch! Beware of the snakes, skulls and spiders! And finally, find the treasure room at the end of the underground labyrinth!

The Montezuma’s Revenge 8-Bit Edition includes features such as level selection, rumble, and even the original manual and map included to help you traverse the maze!

The emulation will be based on the NES version of the game that came about via a Kickstarter and will be released sometime in February.
