Feel like you aren’t seeing enough representation of anime on television today? VIZ Media feels the same way and wants to do something about it, by launching their new 24 hour anime channel with a twist. Instead of being a television channel that you probably couldn’t get unless you paid for a bunch of other channels you probably wouldn’t watch in a cable package, VIZ is launching a streaming channel on a video game console.
This streaming channel will act like any other television channel except on your gaming console. Programming will include uncut english dubbed anime such as new episodes of Naruto Shippuden, Tiger & Bunny, Blue Exorcist, and many others. They will also bring back some shows that have been featured on other networks before like Naruto and Death Note all completely uncut. If that wasn’t enough, anime movies and dubbed kung fu movies will also be featured along with behind the scenes and original content.
While VIZ hasn’t specified which console the service if not both, this subscription based channel will cost you $6.99 a month. I’m sure there are some of you out there who don’t like dubs or might not want to pay for this subscription with other sites out there. However you choose to enjoy your anime please just remember to support the titles you like.
