A new Dungeons & Dragons game is coming from Invoke Studios, formerly Tuque Games, developer of Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, and is being led by Dominic Guay, a 20-year veteran of Ubisoft who previously worked on Splinter Cell and was the senior producer of Watch Dogs and its sequel. Wizards of the Coast announced the new project with only a few details, including that it will have a triple-A scope, and be developed on the Unreal 5 engine.
There is currently a team of 80 people working on the project, and plans are for the team to increase to 200 employees by 2025. In other words, this is still early in development and this is an announcement meant to attract further talent to the team.
Wizards of the Coast said in a press release that Invoke was “one of the major Montreal studios concentrating on AAA fantasy games and the only one in Canada to do so with Wizards”.
