New Pokemon news has just come down the Mario pipe line. CoroCoro Magazine has released a plethora of Pokenews for the upcoming Pokemon X and Y series.
Let’s begin with Mewtwo getting even more Mega Evolutions. That’s right, not only can Mewtwo mega evolve in Mega Mewtwo. But it will also have game specific mega evolutions. With the items Mewtwonite X or Mewtwonite Y, Mewtwo can mega evolve into Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y. Mega Mewtwo X is a psychic/fighting type with the ability Steadfast while Mega Mewtwo Y has yet to be shown. It has also been revealed that Garchomp will be able to mega evolve into Mega Garchomp and have the ability Sandforce. Ok, no more Mewtwo or mega evolutions, I promise.
The starters middle evolutions have been revealed. Chespin evolves into Hariboogu, a pure grass type with the mud shot; Fennekin evolves into Teerunaa, a pure fire type and knows the move Psycho cut; and Froakie evolves into Gerogashira, a pure water type and learns the move Bounce.
Two to fossil Pokemon, Chigorasu and Amarusu, make the scene. Chigorasu is a rock/dragon type with the move Crunch the ability Hard Jaw. This abilty raises the power of any biting moves. Amarusu is a rock/ice type that knows the move Aurora Beam and has the ability Freeze Skin, and new ability that turns normal attacks into ice attacks and raises their ability.
Two more new Pokemon, Torimian and Nyaonikusu are shown. Torimian is a normal type Pokemon that is a white dog, almost resembling a poodle. It has an ability called Fur Coat that reduces physical damage. It’s appearance can also be customized. Nyaonikusu is a psychic type cat Pokemon. It has a male and female version that differs by appearance and fighting style. The female is more of the attacking type and has Extrasensory move while the male is more of a supporter with the move Miracle Eye.
The fairy type has been added to the type chart. Fairy types are supper effective against fighting, dark, and dragon types and not effective against fire, poison, and steel. It is resistant to fighting, dark, and bug and immune to dragon.
Lastly, a few miscellaneous news; you can change your hair and clothes at a Boutique and Salon with a famous actress Karune, and Team Flare (The antagonist team of the X and Y series) has five scientist named Kuseroshiki, Momiji, Bara, Akebi, Corea.
