New Pokémon Snap adds more Pokémon and areas in free update available now

Your journey to discover Pokémon through the vibrant Lental region just got even bigger! Strap on your in-game camera, hop into your NEO-ONE vehicle and buckle up because a free software update is now available for the New Pokémon Snap game for the Nintendo Switch system.

This free update adds three new areas to explore – including day and night versions of each – along with 20 additional Pokémon to discover and photograph. In fact, early footage of these areas has just come back from the development lab! Check out the trailer here.

Here are more details on the new content you can enjoy:

Secret Side Path – The NEO-ONE shrinks when you explore this secret side path in Florio Island’s nature park, so the Pokémon you see here look gigantic.
Mightywide River – A large nurturing river flows through a rugged valley on Belusylva Island, providing the entire island with sustenance. You’ll be conducting research as you ride down the river, so be on the lookout for rapids.
Barren Badlands – In this area, you’ll research the badlands of Voluca Island, where dry winds from the desert blow. This area has many peculiar features, from geysers to poisonous, gas-spewing swamps.

Stay alert while you the study these new areas of the Lental region. Who knows what fun discoveries might pop up!
