Nintendo of Canada sent out the following
Nintendo is inviting Canadians to challenge some of Canada’s top talent in their chosen fields – with a twist. Starting today, Nintendo of Canada is giving fans the chance to win one of three exclusive gaming opportunities: you could hit the courts with tennis star Bianca Andreescu in the Mario Tennis Aces game, zip around Rainbow Road in pursuit of IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game, or keep the beat with dance sensation Shanie Blais in the Just Dance 2020 game. Three separate winners will each receive a one-on-one virtual gaming session with their chosen champ.
“These are truly three Canadian champions, and we are thrilled to give Canadians the chance to play together with them in this unique way,” said Dominic Gross, General Manager, Nintendo of Canada. “Do you have what it takes to challenge a champ? Now you can find out, with any of these acclaimed games for Nintendo Switch. Time to start warming up!”
To enter the #ChallengeAChamp contest, fans will need to respond to dedicated posts on Nintendo of Canada’s Twitter and Facebook pages, explaining why they’re skilled in the selected games.
Below are the weeks Canadians can enter for each individual experience:
November 9 – 13: Mario Tennis Aces vs. Bianca Andreescu
Canadian tennis star Bianca Andreescu has claimed victory on the court against some of the tennis world’s biggest stars – but she’s never faced an opponent like Mario. Through Nintendo Switch Online, Bianca will face-off against one lucky contest winner in an all-out singles tennis battle – playing, of course, as their favourite character from the Mushroom Kingdom. Prepare to have your skills tested in intense rallies against this fierce Canadian competitor.
November 16 – 20: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe vs. James Hinchcliffe
Professional racecar driver James Hinchcliffe started his career behind the wheel in karting – but does he have what it takes to reign supreme in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Through Nintendo Switch Online, James will race his contest winner opponent for the Cup on some of the game’s 48 unique and memorable courses. Will you meet him on Rainbow Road or in Moo Moo Meadows? If you have the need for speed, be sure to challenge James in the insanely fast 200cc mode.
November 23 – 27: Just Dance 2020 vs. Shanie Blais
Think you can keep up with celebrated Montreal-based dancer Shanie Blais? One lucky contest winner will get the chance to dance with Shanie in Just Dance 2020 – the ultimate dance game for Nintendo Switch. Together, Shanie and the winner can customize their Just Dance parties by creating their own playlists featuring a selection of chart-topping hits. Who’s got the top-scoring moves?
