Nintendo is being sued again over Joy-Con drift, this time by a mother and her 10-year-old son.
Wired reports that this latest lawsuit has been filed by a woman named Luz Sanchez and her son, and they are alleging that who say that Nintendo is well aware of the issue. She went on to explain that her family purchased their console in December 2018 and Joy-Con drift trouble starting to appear within a month with the issue becoming so severe within the year that they became useless. The family purchased a second set of Joy-Con, but the issues continued there.
The lawsuit claims that Nintendo is knowingly faulty products to begin with and are seeking $5, 000, 000 in damages.
“Defendant continues to market and sell the Products with full knowledge of the defect and without disclosing the Joy-Con Drift defect to consumers in its marketing, promotion, or packaging.”
Nintendo has recently claimed the issue is not severe at all and has affected no one. It remains to be seen what happens in this case.
