Nintendo has filed numerous trademarks today related to Cappy, Mario’s companion in Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo intends to use the trademark for clothing, hats, toys, Christmas decorations and other such things. It should be noted that this is for Cappy in his original form and not Cappy when he took the form of Mario’s hat.
Is Nintendo intending to make Cappy a recurring character in future Mario games? We would not be opposed to that at all!
