Nintendo was at one point working with Vanpool on a horror game that would have starred Tingle from the Legend of Zelda series.

Looking back eight years ago, we were developing a horror game with Vanpool that starred Tingle as the main character, but that project was canceled due to a variety of reasons.
No further details were provided, but it is interesting to imagine what could have been.
