Nintendo has taken a big step in accessibility with their classic games on Nintendo Switch Online. The flashing strobe effect in Super Mario 2 when the bombs explode, and from the death screen in Zelda II have been altered to make the games accessible for people with epilepsy and other photosensitive conditions.

Indeed, Nintendo also removed the dangerous strobe effect from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
