Nintendo has released an interesting new addition to the Nintendo Switch Online app on Switch consoles with the “Missions and Rewards” section of the app. This adds a new set of missions to complete for Platinum points on the My Nintendo Store as well as new user icon elements that can be purchased with those points. In addition to these new icons, Nintendo is also offering new backgrounds and frames that can be used to expand on the customization of user profiles that will be available until April 4, 2022, before being swapped out.
The first wave of icon elements focuses on Super Mario Odyssey and Animal Crossing: New Horizons and sees new icons, backgrounds and frames themes being made available. While the Super Mario Odyssey elements will be unavailable next month, with Animal Crossing themes, the plan is to feature new icon elements each month based on the residents who have birthdays during that month.
