Nintendo had originally planned for the free Retro Games that come with its service “Nintendo Switch Online”. This is no longer the case and the games will remain available as long as you are subscribed to the service.
Nintendo confirmed that this monthly plan has indeed changed, telling Kotaku: “Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will have ongoing access to a library of classic games with added online play. Users can play as many of the games as they want, as often as they like, as long as they have an active subscription.”
This is a much better way of going about things, as it will make the service much more attractive to potential buyers.
