Leading video game publisher and developer Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. today announced the launch of PAC-MAN MUSEUM+, bringing together classic and nostalgic titles from the legendary game franchise’s library. The game puts players in a virtual arcade with fourteen different PAC-MAN games, from the original PAC-MAN and SUPER PAC-MAN to the mega-popular PAC-MAN 256, along with a few rare surprises. PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ is available now on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PCs via STEAM® and Windows PC (supports Xbox Play Anywhere), and playable today on Xbox Game Pass. The game will also be compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
“Coming the same week that our video game icon celebrated his 42nd birthday, PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ captures the endless fun that is characteristic of PAC-MAN games with an immersive virtual arcade experience,” said Susan Tran, Senior Director, Brand Development for PAC-MAN at Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. “Playing PAC-MAN has always had an element of competition to it, and PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ delivers by giving players fourteen classic games to master, each with online leaderboards where they can enter their name on a global high-score board.”
PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ features a customizable in-game arcade where players can unlock custom cabinets, decorative themes, wallpapers, and even a jukebox that plays music to design the PAC-MAN game room of their dreams. They can also earn coins to use in a virtual Gashapon™ vending machine that offers decorations and classic PAC-MAN themed toys. For a limited time, players who purchase PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ within the first 30 days of launch will get a bonus with five silver or gold PAC-MAN figures to decorate their in-game arcade.
For the competitive PAC-MAN player in all of us, PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ offers unlockable missions along with an online leaderboard for each title that ranks game play scores and a range of funs stats such as coins collected, dots eaten, and more.
