During the Pokemon Presents event for Pokemon Day 2022, Gamefreak announced Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
The reveal trailer showed a new setting and the games seem to have the same type of gameplay as Pokemon Legends: Arceus, with a full 3D perspective, Pokemon roaming in the wild and more.
The starters were also shown and can be seen below.
Gen 9 will release later in 2022.
