On Thursday October 28th,  QUByte held the second edition of their annual event – QUByteConnect 2021 – to share first-hand information about more than 20 of their games.

They have revealed the launch windows for the long-awaited Breakers Collection and Project Colonies: MARS 2120; as well as the first games under the QUByte Classics brand; and a few titles such as Milli&Greg, The Immortal, Head Over Heels and the first two chapters of Opus Castle that were made available that same day.

Breakers Collection, a compilation of the two titles – Breakers and Breakers Revenge – from the cult Fighting series that started in 1996 on Neo Geo and arcades, arrives on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch in Q1/2022. .

 

The compilation features additional modes, such as a training mode and online versus, which is built using Rollback Netcode.

 

They have also announced a closed beta is taking place in early 2022, with applications via this form.

 

 

 

 

 

Project Colonies: MARS 2120, an original IP developed by QUByte Interactive, is set to release in Q3 2022 on PC, Xbox One, XBox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch. This Metroidvania combines Science Fiction with several classic elements of the genre.

 

Players take control of Col. Anna “Charlotte”, a member of an enhanced elite group of Space Marines, sent on a Mission to the first Human Colony on Mars after a distress signal has been received on Earth.

 

 

 

 

 

Milli&Greg is a challenging platformer with 100+ stages telling a love story between a girl and her cat, who has gone missing.

The game features hand-crafted levels and gameplay mechanics based on physics to alter gravity.

 

Milli&Greg is available now on PC, Xbox One, XBox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

 

 

 

 

 

Opus Castle is an episodic adventure/horror video game divided into six chapters, with multiple paths and endings each. The player must explore their surroundings and face the supernatural in pursuit of the truth behind the tragic events based on a true story. Was it murder? Was it a suicide?

 

The first two chapters of Opus Castle are available now on Steam, the first of which is free to play.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUByte Classics is a true love letter to the history of video games

 

QUByte Interactive has acquired the rights to publish several classic games from the 8 and 16-bit era, and will make them available to modern consoles via the QUByte Classics brand.

The initiative is the result of a partnership with Piko Interactive, a publisher focused on releasing classic games in cartridge format to retro consoles.

See below, five QUByte Classics titles already confirmed.

 

The Humans is a puzzle-platform video game in which players take control of a group of Cavemen, who make use of their different abilities in order to complete challenging tasks and resolve puzzles. The title is coming soon to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

The Immortal is an isometric action-adventure game from the 1990’s that puts the player in control of an unnamed sorcerer, making use of several magic items, weapons and magic potions to face deadly creatures and traps in a dungeon.

The title is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Canon – Legends of the New Gods is a Tactical/Strategy RPG released in the early 1990’s for the SEGA Genesis in Asian Territories. Based on a famous legend from the Shang dynasty, players take control of a group of heroes who must face enemies in a series of turn-based battles.

The title is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch in 2022.

 

 

Brave Battle Saga – The Legend of The Magic Warrior is a traditional turn-based JRPG  inspired by the likes of Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire and Secret of Mana. The player takes control of Tim, a young adventurer, who, along with his friends, fight demons in a conflict of magic and technology

The title is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch in 2022.

 

Head Over Heels is an isometric puzzle-platform game in which players take control of two playable characters – Head and Heels – who must cooperate to solve puzzles and get them out of the castle.

Head Over Heels is available now on Nintendo Switch.

In addition to the announcement of QUByte Classics and release date reveals, the company has presented a slew of other games at QUByte Connect 2021. Check some of those below.

 

 

Droid Escape is an adventure-platform game set inside a spaceship controlled by DreX Androids. Characters Anny K. and her robot Droid 07 were kidnapped and locked in different rooms. Players control Droid 07 and must help him overcome challenges to set his friend free.

 

My Night Job – Definitive Edition is an action game inspired by the horror movies of the 1980’s with old-school 16-bit aesthetics. The game features 26 areas to explore, infested with creatures of all kinds: zombies, gargoyles, demonic dogs, murderous robots and more.

 

Raccoo Venture is a 3D platform game set in a playful world, riddled with puzzles that require the hero to find special costumes, each with their own set of skills,  to prevent chaos from returning to the land of Verta.

 

Devil Inside Us: Roots of Evil is a story-focused horror game in which players control Aughust Heylel, a Vatican-legitimized exorcist and prominent priest who no longer holds onto his faith. His mission is to investigate a house riddled with paranormal activity and help the family get rid of it.

 

Bem Feito – Well Done (Working Title) is a thriller/creepypasta-style horror adventure — with Alternate Reality Game (ARG) elements, mixing fiction and real-world references. A supposedly lost game, which had been released for an old and fictional console, has the player take control of Reginaldo to perform seemingly mundane tasks, such as fishing, cooking, watering flowers… But as the game progresses, the story starts to grow more and more bizarre… Are things as simple as they seem?
