Seeing footage of games as they were before is always something neat, and footage has been found of Super Mario RPG 2, the game that become Paper Mario.
This footage had been sitting on youtube for 2 years with less than 30 views. The footage was brought to the attention of Forest of Illusion on Twitter, who have brought it to widespread attention
The video was found on the youtube channel Clasicos TV and seems to date from 1997, which when compared to Paper Mario’s release date of 2000, gives us an idea of how things changed over time.
