IGN recently spoke with Jeremy Dunham, Psyonix Studios’ vice president. At one point in the interview, the idea of Rocket League coming to Nintendo Switch was brought up, and inquired about. Dunham responded to the questions by saying that Psyonix is “evaluating” the possibility of a version for the Switch. Before they will make a decision, they will need to look at the technical requirements for such a version. He also stated that they will have to consider the community demand for the game on the platform..
Dunham mentioned that it is still too early to say it will come to the Switch, but at the same time, it is also too early to say it will not. He explained that since the Switch is still a very new platform, Psyonix fells they have plenty of time to see how it’s doing and what their audience wants. As such, right now they will wait and see how things go.
if the game does come to Switch, It would be nice if they threw in something Nintendo themed. Maybe the Blue Falcon, or some of the Karts from Mario Kart, or the bike from Excitebike. After all, Excitebike 64 did have a similar minigame back on the N64.
