Rocket League currently supports cross-platform play, that allows matching between someone playing on Switch, Xbox One and PC, but Psyonix is going a step further,
The company plans to add cross-platform party support, with this addition coming later this year.

For those unaware, Cross-platform parties will allow you to create a party of players from different platforms, who can then can move together between matches as a group. This can be done without having to constantly invite people into a private match.
