It seems a long awaited re-release may be happening at last, and in time for Sonic the Hedgehog’s 30th anniversary. Sega previously noted that it will have some “exciting news” that will be be shared soon alongside many announcements, and one of them may have just been leaked.
After the previous leak of Sonic Colors Ultimate being a thing, a new leak has emerged with known leaker Zippo claiming that Sega will be re-releasing Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles in a new Sonic collection.
“It’s back. And I promise you that I’m not shi***** you. It was thought to be impossible, but it’s coming. There will be some changes, though. More soon.”
The legal issues due to the music and Michael Jackson’s estate that have prevented a re-release or remake are well known, so could it be Sega has resolved the issue?
