During a stage show at SEGA Fes, more details about Sega Ages shared, and they were quite interesting,

It was decided that it would be a waste to just leave things done after the last wave of 3D Classics on 3DS were finished, which led to SEGA and M2 once again partnering on classic games for Switch. It was also noted that Alex Kidd is included in the lineup due to the game’s popularity on the Virtual Console in Europe and that future releases could be decided by using similar data.

Two other noteworthy details are that Gain Ground wont be the only arcade title in SEGA Ages, as there are plans to expand the line further. In addition, Saturn and Dreamcast titles could be represented in the future if it goes well beyond the first 15 games, which should be very excited for retro fans,
