There have been developments recently that should be of interest to Virtua Fighter fans. Sega Games Japan recently had the trademark for the Virtua Fighter logo renewed in the US last month, for “coin-operated video games and arcade video game use”. The company also filed for a trademark for “Battle Genesis”, which was also filed for coin-operated video games and arcade video game use.
While this could just be could simply be a trademark renewal, “Battle Genesis” seems to indicate otherwise. Is Sega returning to their arcade roots with more fighting games? The Sega fans in us want to know!
