SEGA has revealed that Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower are joining Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as playable characters, coming for free and as unlockables on all platforms on October 5, 2021.
This will tie into the 20th and 30th Anniversaries of Super Monkey Ball and Sonic The Hedgehog respectively, as Sonic and Tails join the monkey gang while sporting classic character models. Both characters will be playable in all 300+ levels but will collect rings instead of bananas.
Sonic and Tails are the latest to join a growing cast that also includes Beat from Jet Set Radio and more guest characters to be revealed.
