Sega may be bringing back a classic, as the company launched a new teaser site, Csmashvrs.com, along with social media accounts with the profile name “C-Smash VRS”. It wrote on twitter: “Eye c sth forming”. The URL seems to imply a VR release of some sort and Wolf & Wood, the studio that developed the VR title The Last Worker, retweeted the teaser site on Monday.

In addition, Ken Ishii, the DJ that is known for having his music featured in another 2001 Sega game, Rez, shared the teaser as well. Cosmic Smash was released in arcades and Dreamcast in 2001, and can best be described as “a futuristic combination of Squash and Breakout” that places players in a series of rooms filled with blocks, and arms them with a racquet. The goal is to use the racquet to smack balls off the blocks to make them all disappear. Players can also pull off special smashes to help them clear the blocks quicker, albeit with the trade-off of making the ball move faster.
