Sonic Frontiers was a bold new direction for SEGA’s mascot and it seems to have paid off.
SEGA revealed that the game has greatly exceeded the sales expectations it had in mind for the game and that Sonic Frontiers us expected to continue to sell over the long term as well with the assistance of discounts as well as updates and DLC.

Recent reports indicate that Sonic Frontiers has sold close to 3 million copies worldwide since its release date last November and Sega has confirmed that the game will be receiving multiple free DLC updates throughout 2023 which will include new playable characters and story content.
