Senran Kagura is a well-known series that isn’t necessarily for everyone. This game is so intrinsically Japanese that not everyone will be able to take. This series is certainly one that is something players might want to play away from peeking eyes.
Senran Kagura Reflexions is a visual novel of sorts that takes place in a school. Asuka is a nice young girl who calls the player into a school classroom sometime after the school day has ended. She has feelings that she is unsure about and just wants someone to be near her.
In a twist she doesn’t simply want to talk, she wants the player to touch her. The actual meat of the game takes place in what is called reflexology sessions. These sessions involve the player massaging Asuka the right way, and it gets rather risque, rather fast.
This game is one that isn’t for the faint of heart. While it might be a cute game on the surface it does end up becoming something not entirely wholesome. The idea of massaging Asuka becomes something that verges on truly sexual. As the player works their magic, she gets more and more relaxed until the player finishes her. The finishing moves are always rather lewd and offer upskirt shots which are to be expected. With the added power of the HD Rumble, this is more than a little risque.
There are different experiences for the player to undertake depending on where they massage Asuka. These experiences change from her being the teacher to her being a ninja or even a little sister. The little sister one is especially odd to play when one has a little sister, but try not to think too deeply about it.
These scenarios really are often just a bit too sexual. Especially the one where Asuka is dressed in only a ribbon. It is a little weird to be perfectly honest but the Senran Kagura series is known for this kind of gameplay. It plays into the idea of it being a game that isn’t for kids even if it looks cute enough to be. Though clearly Asuka just wants to be loved and for some reason playing with her fingers sends her to daydream land for whatever reason.
Players can also dress her up and change how she looks. This added layer of customization allows for everyone playing to have their own preferred Asuka. I always enjoy customization like this because it makes the game seem like it really is mine to enjoy.
Players can also enjoy mini reflexology sessions where the player can really do as they please. There are no events in this only the action of playing and toying with Asuka. If a player is crunched for time they are sure to find a little peace in enjoying a little time with Asuka. Players can even spray Asuka with a water gun and massage her just about anywhere they might like too, even to her chagrin.
The last mode is Diorama, and this just allows players to pose Asuka in different locations. This is just a simple mode that lets the player have a little fun and taking pictures of their favorite heroine. This mode is actually rather interesting as there are quite a few ways in which players can adjust the picture. If they are inclined to do so they can even take pictures where her clothes are ripped.
This mode is great overall because there are so many pictures the player could presumably take by adjusting where she is looking and what face she is making. There are effects and other things to be changed too. For a game like this that does get up close and personal with one character, a mode like this makes sense.
The music is jazzy and peaceful. It makes the game seem a lot cuter than it probably is. There is something innately seedy about a game that is about massaging a girl until the player needs to finish her. But, with the fun music, it takes it down a level and makes it just cute enough.
Senran Kagura Reflexions is all about making friends with a cute girl. Players will enjoy learning a little about reflexology and interacting with Asuka in different dream scenarios. With the other modes to play with too, there is more than meets the eye to this game. Asuka is waiting will the player answer her prayer and give her some of their time?
