Sonic Origins was released back in June 2022 of last year and included Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD in newly remastered forms, while also including new areas to explore, exclusive animations, as well as a brand new anniversary mode and more. It seems, however, that Sega has plans to do more with the collection if recent ratings are to be believed.
The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has added a rating for Sonic Origins Plus to its website but has provided no other information about the title. SEGA previously put out another ‘Plus’ version of a Sonic game with Sonic Mania, which was released around a year after Sonic Mania came out with Sonic Mania Plus which included playable characters Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, an “Encore Mode” with remixed levels, a reworked lives mechanic, a pinball bonus stage, and a four-player competition mode.
While nothing has been confirmed, it is very likely that Sonic Origins Plus will take a similar route when it releases.
