Sony held a conference at Paris Games Week today and discussed several upcoming games. New announcements were made, as well as updates on existing games.

The announcements started off quickly with Guacamelee 2 coming first to PS4. The game looks to be bigger and better than the original and will no doubt excite many.

From there, Sony continued and showed a trailer for The Hong Kong Massacre, an intense top down shooter that has been anticipated for a while. The game looks to be a mix of Hotline Miami style gameplay, with the feel of a John Woo movie. Coming 2018

Next up was the reveal of Gardens Between. This seems to be an adventure-puzzle game based on the ability to reverse or forward the flow of time to help solve puzzles. Think Braid but no0t quite as it looks to have its own identity . Coming late 2018.

 

After that, we received a new trailer and release date for LocoRoco 2. The game is coming December 9

From there, we received news on The Sims 4 on PS4. Four expansions are coming with the game as well as all free updates from the PC version. This is in addition to all further PC updates also coming to PS4. Out November 17.

 

 

Sony then showed off  Tennis World Tour which is coming in 2018.

Next was a PSVR game from Disruptive Games called Megalith. The game is a shooter with destructible environments. Out 2018

Next was Bow to Blood. A game involved Airships, space battles,and shooting both from regular guns and also involving ship to ship battles. Procedurally generated levels are a part of the game so the experience is never the same.

Next up was VR Flight Sim Ultrawings.

 

 

Next up was free running platformer Sprint Vector for PS VR. This game may cause motion sickness.

 

Next was an update on the game Moss and then a trailer for Starchild.

 

Sony then discussed Resident Evil 7 ., namely the new DLC coming out, and showed a new trailer was shown. This is also fully playable in VR. Out Dec 12

 

Sony then showed two PS VR games coming out this Haloween. Dead Hungry, which seems to be a game where you serve zombies from a food cart and Stifled, a sound-based game set in the pitch black and also having a very unique art style.

 

 

Final Fantasy 15 Episode Ignis was then shown and given a release date of December 13.

 

Continuing with  PSVR, the  rhythm game –Invector was shown.

 

Also shown was Oure, a new game that si out on the PS4 today. It has a unique art style that gives off Journey vibes.

 

Lastly on the preshow was a big announcement. Spelunky 2 is coming.

From there, the main show started.

First shown was Ghost of Tsushima, a game about Samurai from Sucker Punch. No release date yet.

After that reveal Jim Ryan was on stage  to discuss developers such as Sucker Punch, Ninja Theory, Toby Fox, and Guerrilla Games. In addition to talking about PSVR, he noted that there are 225 games with graphical enhancements on PS4 Pro and over 100 compatible with PS VR.

After this, we were back to rreveals with Concrete Genie. Using a magic paintbrush, you can paint the environment and change to the world around you to solve puzzles and platform and advance. Out 2018.

 

Sony then brought up PlayLink , with Sony London working on ways to use this for new experiences. Erica is a new FMV game featuring chocies and presumably a branching story based on this.

Sony then wished to talk more about VR by showing off a sizzle trailer of upcoming PSVR games.

Furthering discussion of VR, Sony London Studios then revealed  Blood and Truth. A new VR game set in London.

Jim then returned to the stage to discuss six games with PlayStation-exclusive features.

Destiny 2  Curse of Osiris – expansion 1, out December 5, first on PS4

 

Monster Hunter World out in January with Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn on the PS4 version along with  a PlayStation exclusive beta on December 9.

 

Call of Duty: WW2 will have a bonus map for season pass buyers, and DLC 1, The Resistance, launches first on PS4.

 

Codemasters  showed off OnRush a new Arcade Racer.

 

And last of the six

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 from EA with its own exclusive content.

Next, we got a look at Insomniac’s Spider-man game. 2018 release date.

 

Next a new trailer for Detroit: Become Human.

Sony then showed off a new trailer for God of War. The game set in Norse Myth this time, is looking just as you might expect, with intense combat.

 

We also received a new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds

 

 

Sony then showed off two games that people have wanted to see.

First a new trailer for the remake of Shadow of The Colossus. Game will launch February 6 2018

And a new intense trailer for The Last of Us Part 2. This trailer is not for the squeamish and contains things that might be disturbing to some.

 

 

Sony then closed with another sizzle trailer of upcoming PS4 and PSVR games
