Scarlet Moon Records is excited to release THE WORLD IS SQUARE, a Valentine’s Day tribute to Squaresoft JRPGs from the SNES and PSX eras lovingly arranged by producer and videogame remixing pioneer Mustin. Mustin–best known as the co-founder of OneUp Studios and The OneUps–arranges fan-favorite tracks from Secret of ManaChrono TriggerFinal Fantasy IVFinal Fantasy VI, and Final Fantasy VII in a series of smooth ballads including live violin and guitar. Each track is dedicated to a special girl in Mustin’s life, making a perfect musical accompaniment for Valentine’s Day. THE WORLD IS SQUARE is licensed and available today:

“I spent countless hours as a kid playing through these games,” notes arranger/ and producer Mustin. “Adulthood didn’t seem to hinder me in any way seeing as how I have bought every release and remake of Final Fantasy IV. Every one of these themes is a time travel device that takes me back to my youth – sharing the emotions of these characters on my screen. I hope the listeners share my nostalgia!”

About Mustin
Mustin a multi-instrumentalist and music producer based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He’s credited as being a pioneer of the videogame music remixing scene with early contributions to OverClocked ReMix and Project Majestic Mix before founding one of the first videogame music record labels, OneUp Studios, and one of the first videogame music cover bands, The OneUps, who still perform regularly at conventions such as PAX, MAGFest, VCON, and more to this day.

Mustin has been featured on CNN and MSNBC, remixed for MC Frontalot and Freezepop, and has worked with the likes of brentalfloss, Mega Ran, and more.
