Nintendo keeps hitting the high points. The analyst firm Superdata is now estimating that the Nintendo Switch sold 2.4 million units in March, which is higher than the NPD numbers, but also comes from being Worldwide Numbers vs US numbers only.
Superdata collaborated with market researcher GFK and the Japanese gaming publication Famitsu for this research into the worldwide numbers. They managed to sort through the data and find the number that made the most logical sense. There is no confirmation from Nintendo yet about these numbers but the financial briefing is in a couple of weeks.
Superdata has also changed their projected sales of the Switch for 2017, and has now increased it to 7.2 million and may increase further. This is up from 5 million earlier.
