The Nintendo Wii and Wii U used Sync Buttons to connect wiimotes and the Wii U gamepad to their systems, and this was not extremely popular among gamers. However, with the Switch pro controller things are very different. To sync up your Switch pro controller to the Switch, all you need to do is is plug it in via USB. This will then cause it to autosync.
Hopefully this works as stated because it is a lot simpler.
