Forever Entertainment has been bringing a lot of games to Switch recently, and while Q-Yo Blaster and Gun Powder on the Teeth are decent games, Tap Skaters falls short. I will be very brief with this review, as I do not really feel there is much that needs to be said about this one.
Tap Skaters is a mobile game ported to Switch and honestly doesn’t feel like it belongs on the system. There are very basic controls, either touch screen or one button, and the goal is usually to drop down from level to level and dodge obstacles. There are some stages in the game where you perform missions like picking up certain items, and some boss fights that are basically races. This is basic at best and I am a bit confused by this.
There is nothing wrong really with this game, except that it feels out of place on Switch. This was a mobile game and feels like one. I do not see what the market is for the game on the system really. If you want a time waster game, there are great action titles available. If you want something cheap then there are other perfect choices to be made that will satisfy you. This worries me about the quality of games being allowed on the eshop. Some mobile games would be fine to see on Switch, because they feel like full games. This is not one of them, it is a time waster game and one that honestly do not see myself going back to when done with this review.
I have to say that Im disappointed and will not be giving any recommendation to check this out. It is pointless to play and I advise skipping it. There is much better stuff to be found instead.
