The Game Awards has just wrapped and there were announcements abounding during the show. Let’s recap what new content was announced.
World War Z
The show began with an announcement trailer for World War Z, which will be coming fromSaber Interactive. The game is coming for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. and will be an intense zombie experience.
Vacation Simulator
Accounting VR
Next we got 2 new VR games. Vacation Simulator, is a new game from the creators of Job Simulator, while Accounting VR+ was announced for PlayStation VR.
FromSoftware New Project
Next we have a new game announcement from FromSoftware. Just a short teaser but fans are already excited with just the tagline Shadows Die Twice.
In the Valley of the Gods
The creators of Firewatch then revealed a new game set in Egypt based on exploring pyramids and ancient tombs. Releases 2019
Fortnite 50 vs. 50 Mode
Fortnite Battle Royale also had a reveal, namely that of a new 50 versus 50 mode featuring the fort-building we know and love. Thus is a limited time event through December 17.
The Champions’ Ballad Reveal
Nintendo made their first reveal at the show, with a trailer for The Champions’ Ballad releasing tonight. This will be a prequel story and takes place before the events 100 years ago. There are new dungeons, costumes, and best of all the Master Cycle Zero, a motorcycle described as Link’s own divine beast.
SoulCalibur VI
The next big reveal was of SoulCalibur VI for PS4 XB1 and PC. We were shown an early tease, with more information coming soon.
Fade to Silence
THQ Nordic next revealed their new game Fade to Silence. This is a winter survival game, and you mist battle the elements and strange enemies. The game goes into early access Dec 14 and will release on all next gen consoles soon.
Bayonetta News
Nintendo’s second big announcement was the reveal that Bayonetta 1 and 2 will be coming to the Switch in February. More importantly, they also gave us a brief teaser of Bayonneta 3.
Death Stranding
Next up was the strange trailer for Death Stranding. No words can describe it. Just watch.
Witchfire
A standout announcement was Witchfire, a dark fantasy FPS that looks truly amazing and is coming to PC. There is no release date yet.
PUBG Desert Map Reveal
PUBG revealed their new map tonight. This map transports players into the desert and goes live tonight.
GTFO
The creators of Payday have made new team based horror FPS game called GTFO. It will involve heavy amounts of teamwork and puzzle solving when it releases in 2018.
