Goat Simulator is one of those games that people wouldn’t usually think would be that good. Sure it’s just a game where the player plays as a goat. But this Game of the Year Edition is sure to provide some entertainment. With different games for the player to enjoy this game might just become something greater.

Goat Simulator is the simplest of the games and introduces the player to the ways of the goat. The goat is a simple creature, and this game is rather simple. Anything a goat can do the player can do. Why someone out there thought playing as a goat would be fun is beyond me but here it is.

Goat Simulator is a game that is all about destroying the world around the player. This goat just wants to cause chaos and he won’t stop until the worlds in flames around him. It’s great to play a game where the whole point is to destroy everything. Sometimes it’s nice to play a villain, even if its just a wild goat.

The world itself is actually quite vast and players will experience quite a few experiences. Its honestly a marvel that these ideas work with a goat, but it is by far one of the zaniest games I’ve played in a while.

The second game is Goat MMO Simulator. This game is similar to an RPG like Skyrim in that, players run around a medieval world, and complete quests. The player starts out by choosing a class including the normal tank, magician, and rogue class with the addition of a microwave and a few other choices. Players then go out into the world completing quests and taking down monsters to level up.

Players can also play this like the rest of the goat simulator games. Knocking people over lets the player place them in their inventory. It is a little out there but it’s humorous, to say the least.

The third is Goat Simulator: Goat Z and this tasks the player with causing a zombie outbreak while also staying alive. The player can turn humans into zombies but players need to watch out as the zombies will also attack the player. This game mode is more survival based as the player actually has health. Players gain health by eating food even though they are the reason the zombie apocalypse is happening.

The Fourth is Goat Simulator: Payday and this is probably the weirdest of the group. The goat is leading a group of animals to steal money and his team includes, a Dolphin in a wheelchair, a flamingo, and a camel. These animals each have their own way of doing things and players must switch between them to achieve goals. It’s weird to play as animals other than the goat as they all continue to scream like the goat.

This is also a clever tie into the Payday series and includes little homages to the series. In fact, the characters all wear masks from the series in order to be hidden from the fact that they are committing crimes.

The fifth is Goat Simulator: Waste of Space is the second to last of the games and tasks the player with crowdfunding a space station by headbutting as many people as possible. This game is probably the most interesting for me simply because it gives the player rewards of sorts for raking in the money.

In this game as the player progresses more activities are unlocked. The goat is given a freer range of an ever-expanding space station. At the end of the day, this is the one that I probably enjoyed the most because I felt like I was actually playing toward some end.

The final entry in the collection is Goat Simulator: Goat City Bay. This is more content for the base game and lets players explore a seaside area. Players play this as a continuation of the main game, and its more of the same destroy everything mechanic.

Each of these games provides the player with more land to explore and more things to do. While not the perfect game, the fact that there is so much to see and do makes this game worth playing. Plus, having a goat explore space and participate in heists is something I’d never expected to see.

This game is also great because it also shows how much of the game players have beaten. Players will gain trophies and complete countless missions while playing through this zany collection. At the end of the day seeing a percentage of how much game I’ve completed will always make me just a touch happier with the game.

This game might just be a basic destroy everything game at its core but that is fine by me. I am completely fine with destroying the world as a goat and sometimes the most basic of games is worth playing. Playing this, I was always feeling like there was more chaos to cause and that simply made me happy. The music is also rather weird and that fits with how weird this game is.

Goat Simulator GOATY is a simple bundle of all the Goat Simulator games. While not something for everyone on the surface there is probably at least something that the player will find interesting. This world is vast and there is only one goat who is up to the task, will the player help this goat out?
