Ninjin Clash of Carrots is a pixelated Slash n’ Dasher. A game all about a ninja rabbit and his ninja fox friend saving the day. An evil scientist has stolen the carrot crop from Ninjin’s village. It’s up to this furry hero to save the day and return the season’s crop before the village starves.

Every level of this game is broken down into waves. The player slashes and dashes through enemies, destroying them and gathering carrots. It’s deceptively simple and soon the player is learning how to play the game in the first level. This game also has a nice combo system, where if the player is able to slice through multiple foes in a row a bar will continue to rise. Clearing more enemies in a row obviously will make the player’s score rise.

Players blast through levels defeating enemies and in the middle of waves, the player might see some more story. It’s also interesting to note that in this game when a new foe appears, a new enemy banner shows off the villain. In a way, it definitely makes seeing new enemies even more exciting.

At the end of the level, the player is awarded a rank based on their performance. This is calculated through different things like how much time is taken, carrots collected, and other various ideas. It is always fun to know just how well you do in a game and this is true in this game. Though if the player doesn’t rank at the highest rank, the village elder will make a joke out of it.

Of course, with a ranking system comes the need to replay levels and get the highest rank. This feature tends to be a double-edged sword, but in this game, it’s not a problem as the levels themselves tend to be rather quick. The game also has quite the loadout system. In this game, the player will collect weapons from treasure chests, along with accessories and artifacts. Choosing the correct loadout is always necessary. It is nice to see what these new weapons because they do look rather nice.

The map for the game is also rather nice, it’s reminiscent of an old school Mario in a way. When choosing a new level the main character is super happy and excited, which shows a little more character. Personally, I enjoy this little idea that the character themselves are also psyched to continue the game.

In a game where carrots are super important, obviously, these animals use them as currency. Shortly after starting the game the player will save Corgi not-so-jr from the evil Moe who is rather similar to old school Dr.Eggman. This delightful pup once saved from a sticky situation will open up a store. The player can access this store from the menu at any time and will find a variety of things to buy. This screen is where the player will find accessories and even more weapons. It’s always good to check on what this little pup has to make sure one’s loadout is at its peak.

Ninjin might be a fun game solo, but it is also possible to play this game with a friend. Running through levels in tandem with a friend is always great, especially when the couch co-op is involved. But, don’t let the fun end there, this game also can be played online with random people or in rooms made by the player. This is a neat feature that will provide even more fun in the Ninjin world.

There is also an endless mode in the game in which players can take down wave after wave of foes. This mode gets chaotic fast and is best played when the player has beaten a good amount of the game. There are many different enemies in this game, and they can all appear in this mode. This is where things get interesting as the player will never have anyway of finding out what enemies will come to face them.

Ninjin clash of carrots is a game that has fantastic music as well. It fits the world nicely and is usually a blast to listen to. Slicing and dicing to such awesome music is a treat for sure. The music fits the ancient Japanese and ninja aesthetic and ups the fun intrinsically.

Ninjin Clash of Carrots truly is a fun game. This game can be enjoyed solo or with friends and has a simple yet interesting story. Will the player help this lowly rabbit save the day, or will the rabbit village starve?
