A number of boxes for upcoming Switch games, have found their way onto the net, including Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. The box provides a couple of important details about the game. The interesting thing is that the box confirms several new details.
We can now officially say that Ultra Street Fighter II will have a new first-person mode, as was eased in the debut trailer. This will be a special game mode called “Unleash! Ha”DO”ken”, and is specialized for use with the Joy-Con controllers while in a first-person view.
“Hadoken” is ??? in Japanese. Capcom has removed the ? and replaced it with “Do” for this mode, making it ?Do?. This likely wont be carried over into the English version, which will probably have its own pun.
The thing that stands out the most about this is the screenshot on the box, which has a timer and shows multiple Bisons. Some have speculated that this is a mode in which you hold the Joy-Con and literally shoot hadoken, in a rail shooter like game.
Also noteworthy is that the box also shows that Ultra Street Fighter II will have some sort of art gallery, where players can view over 250 pages of artwork. As well, the box contains a logo for the MT Framework engine so it appears that Capcom’s mainstream engine is capable of producing Switch software.
There is no release date yet but Capcom says they want the game out soon.
