Epic Games has made a big announcement with Unreal Engine 4 and Nintendo Switch.
February’s Unreal Engine 4.15 release contained an experimental early support for Switch, and now Epic has now revealed fully-featured native support for Switch with Unreal Engine 4.16.
Epic Games has teamed up with Nintendo to release the full Unreal Engine 4 source code for Nintendo Switch to approved developers for free! After launching experimental support for Nintendo Switch development in February’s Unreal Engine 4.15 release, Epic is proud to announce fully-featured native support for the popular platform in Unreal Engine 4.16.
The upcoming Shin Megami Tensei, as well as Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night both use the engine and we know 20 games in Japan are being developed for Switch using the engine.. This update means we will see many new games that use Unreal 4coming to Switch, especially from indie developers.
