VIZ Media at New York Comic Con

New York Comic Con is coming up soon, and VIZ Media – American publisher of both manga and anime – is getting ready, with lots of giveaways and a special guest.

Naruto fans will be thrilled to hear that Junko Takeuchi, the Japanese voice actress of Naruto, will be making her first ever American appearance at NYCC. She’ll be available for autographs, and will take part in a special Naruto Shippuden panel on Friday, October 14. VIZ is also premiering the Naruto Shippuden movie, and will have free ticket giveaways and a special gift bag for everyone who comes.

Other special guests include Masayuki Ozaki, the co-creator of Tiger & Bunny, as well as writers and artists from the show Voltron Force. VIZ will also be giving out free swag at their booth, such as Naruto merchandise, free posters and manga samplers, and posters featuring series like Mameshiba.

VIZ will also be showcasing their manga app and VIZManga.com website. And congoers will be able to look at Art for Hope, a digital art book VIZ Media will be selling, all of the proceeds for which will go towards disaster relief efforts in Japan.
