After announcing the first Warhammer 40, 000 CRPG yesterday in the form of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Owlcat Games has confirmed some more details about the game.

The game’s mechanical system will be D100, based on the Rogue Trader Tabletop RPG that was released by Fantasy Flight Games. The Tabletop RPG was discontinued after FFG lost the license but the line of 40K RPGs was started up again with a new title in 2018 under another company.

It is unclear if elements of the new system will also be used, but the fact that the game is based on the tabletop leaves open the possibility for other Tabletop RPGs like Deathwatch and Dark Heresy to be adapted.
