WayForward may be going down an interesting route when it comes to Shantae, as during an interview with Siliconera, co-creator Matt Bozon said he would “be down” for doing a remake of the first Shantae game, which originally released on the Game Boy Color, and noted that it “isn’t outside the realm of possibility”.
“That’s been a hot topic lately! I’d be down for doing that! Of course, we’re all very excited to make new games, too. We’ll need to think long and hard about what the next Shantae adventure will be – but a remake isn’t outside the realm of possibility!”
