WayForward Technologies recently released the excellent game “The Mummy: Demastered”, which has been getting positive reactions for its well designed and engaging gameplay. The game has very little to do with the recent movie and is much better regarded.
In a recent interview, WayForward’ Austin Ivansmith, the director of the game, discussed a number of details around the development. One thing that stood out though, was that there is a desire to make more games based off the Universal Monster Movies.
Dtoid: Are their any other classic Universal Monster franchises you’d like to adapt?
Austin: Sure! These monsters have a rich history of interesting storylines and characters. Bride of Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Wolf Man, Creature from the Black Lagoon… any of these classics would make for an amazing “Demastered” game. Let’s hope we get to do this again!
These sound like amazing ideas to us! Hopefully WayForward gets a chance to do these games!
