WWE 2K22 will be getting a feature that has not been in a WWE game in over a decade according to sportsgamersonline.com with the return of General Manager (GM) Mode. The reports state that this was a top priority from the developers, who wanted it as much as the fans did.
WWE took a sandbox approach to their game after Smackdown vs Raw 2008 by introducing “Universe Mode”, where fans could fantasy book the entire landscape of WWE with rosters, champions, logos, and more, but lacked ongoing objectives, contract management, injuries, drafting and stealing stars, and more. SportsGameronline reports that a source told them “It’s going to become the most played mode in the game” and that “the mode will sell this game.”
The full gameplay details will be revealed this January.
