Yuzo Koshiro is back and is working on a new game for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Koshiro announced the news on his Twitter account that he is working on a new shmup for the system. Koshiro revealed not only is he developing music for the game, but is also working as a designer, making it the first game since Beyond Oasis that he has worked on as a designer.
The Sega legend showed two screens of the game running on a CRT and noted that the game will be a throwback-style shmup. Further information will come later, but we are assured a great soundtrack and hopefully a great playing shmup. Let’s hope it comes to more than just the retro system.
