Zen Studios has finally set a release date for the much anticipated Zen Pinball 2.
Zen Pinball 2 will release on September 4 for both the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®Vita.
This release will be accompanied by a brand new table based on one of PopCap Games’ hit games. No official details have been released, but speculation is that the table will be based on their hit game Plants vs. Zombies. This new table will also be available for Pinball FX 2 on the Xbox 360. The table will officially be announced later this month during the PAX Prime expo.
Zen Pinball 2 will be a free download. Gamers that already own the original Zen Pinball and Marvel Pinball will find that their already purchased tables will be imported into Zen Pinball 2 automatically. Not only will the old tables be imported, they will also have new features and updates such as: new ball physics, new lighting, new trophies and new global leaderboards.
One notable key feature will be cross-platform entitlement. Which means if you own both a PS3 and a Vita, you only have to purchase the game once and it will be available for play on both of the systems at no additional cost. All previous and future tables that you purchase will also be available for play on both systems.
